Built as a grand residence on the western side of the Cap, the Château embodies the elegance that came to define the Riviera during the Belle Époque. Its reception rooms, garden and sea-facing terrace open towards exceptional views of Cannes and the Mediterranean.
Following the Russian Revolution, Château Algarve was owned by Grand Duke Nikolai Nikolaievich Romanov. Within these walls, members of Europe's most influential imperial and royal dynasties visited during a period of extraordinary change.
Married to Grand Duke Nikolai Romanov, H.R.H. Princess Anastasia Petrović-Njegoš, daughter of King Nikolai I, made Château Algarve a royal Montenegrin residence.
